A torque wrench is a tool used to tighten nuts and bolts to a specific torque. It works by applying a preset turning force to the nut or bolt, ensuring it is tightened to the correct specification. This prevents overtightening or under-tightening, which can lead to damaged components or even dangerous situations.
When the set torque is reached, the torque wrench will produce a click and/or noticeable resistance to indicate the torque has been achieved and you should stop turning. This ensures consistent and accurate tightening of nuts and bolts. Torque wrenches come in various sizes. For jobs where space is limited or small bolts need tightening, a small-sized torque wrench is ideal. These compact torque wrenches provide the same precision and reliability as their larger counterparts but are designed to fit in tight spaces and be lighter in weight.
